Track number 5 of new Sinapsya’ Album on Through Records: THR 007
FuckBook infoshit:
With this project Sinapsya want to put in contrast new technologies with old (when I recorded the album the only computer we had was an Atari 1024 ST and the Internet did not exist) and now, today the Social network is the center of our social life.
Do you remember when there was no hard disk recording and MIDI tracks were only written (if you were lucky) or play live and recorded on DAT (wach the cover and you see where I must took a album’s tracks) and then switch tracks you can not ever be able to do the same as the sounds could not be stored, and when each battery, synth or instrument playing in the song was actually playing at that moment, if there are two TB-303 were both playing together because we had two… you could not record a lap and after put another made with the same machine … What lovely memories …

“Losing Kontrol” is the first track recorded on DAT in 1993 by SmokeProof. It was recorded using only un’Atari ST-1040, Roland R-70, Sampler Roland S-760, Boss Voice Transformer Vocoder and Novation Bass Station.
The SmokeProof in the beginning composed of 5 persons: Stealther, Sinapsya, Morph, PTC, GiovanniEva DJ. Later, in 2001 were reduced to 3 (Stealther, Sinapsya, Morph) and then remained only Sinapsya and Stealther.
I think “Losing Kontrol” is the track not yet published most remixed of the story. It was remixed by Stealther as SmokeProof on Audio Resistance 1.0 and by Pure Analog on Psycho Sequencer, Through Records 002.
So I decided it deserved to be remixed by the best electronic artists in Rome. 7 tracks, 7 stories and 7 completely different styles, you can’t lose it.
Have devoted Kraftwerk, Anthony Rother, Mr. Velcro Fastner, Dopplereffekt and all those artists played before the advent of Virtual Instruments and Mega Computers.
Special Thanks: Max Durante for editing and master of the Original Version , Cesare Bernardini because, in Rome, if you have an Analog Synthesizer or any electronic device of the 80s is the only genius that can save you. Long live to analog, long life to Cesare.
Do you remember when the hard disc recording don’t exist….
